Qian Shen also known as Emilia Shen, was born in Hubei, China in 2001. She will receive her BFA from Alfred University in 2024. She has worked with sculpture at Alfred since 2018. She was interested in painting when she was young. So, she started painting since she was in middle school, and she was doing painting and ceramic when she was in high school. After high school, she was going to do ceramic and sculpture at collage. Emilia had her first group exhibition at Alfred in 2022. She received Stephen John Hill Memorial Scholarship, Peters Valley School of Craft Scholarship, Ceramic Grant, Art Portfolio scholarship and Miller Portfolio Scholarship at Alfred university. Emilia was an Assistant Designer at Brandesse Digital, Shenzhen, China at 2022. Emilia lives and works in Alfred, NY.
